Joliet Junior College's offense was on fire in a 122-79 victory over Richard J. Daley College at the Event Center on Tuesday.

"The last four or five years we just couldn't score," coach Joe Kuhn said. "We couldn't get out of the 60s barely. Now, we were holding teams down (then), but now we have more shooters. We have some guys off the bench who can shoot it as well as or better than guys starting."

The Wolves, now winners of three straight, dominated in the first half and were led by sharp-shooting Jarret Gmazel, who nailed a pair of 3-pointers leading to a 10-0 JJC run to start the game.

The sophomore from Lincoln-Way Central High School scored 38 points in his last game and followed that up with 22 against the Bulldogs.

"Jarret was a little under the weather this game, but you wouldn't know it from his shot," Kuhn said. "He's been shooting it really, really well with deep range. He's also driving the ball. You look at him and wouldn't think he can do what he does."

Inside, the Wolves (10-3) were led by Mitchell Kwasigroch, who scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds and dished seven assists.

Jadan Manion scored a season-high 19 points while Jason Bingham Jr. and Hillel Watkins each scored 10. Bingham Jr. also had eight assists for Kuhn's squad who will travel to Truman College on Thursday.
