Joliet Junior College bounced back after a tough loss against Kirkwood. 

The Wolves pulled away in the fourth quarter in a 61-47 win over South Suburban College on Saturday. 

Deesha Brefford, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, led JJC scoring 20 points.

Destiny Villalejo added 12 and eight rebounds while Amber Lemons had 10 points. Talia Edwards reached double digits with 11 rebounds. 

"I thought we responded well to playing two games in less than 24 hours," coach Shaun Sanderson said. "South Suburban did a great job of slowing down our fast break opportunities, but we executed on offense in the fourth quarter and increased our defensive pressure."
