After trailing at the half, No. 2 Joliet Junior College turned up its intensity in the second half defeating Elgin 88-80 on Saturday afternoon at the Event Center. 

The Wolves trailed by three at the break, but outscored the Spartans by 12 in the third quarter to take control of the contest. 

Guard Kianna Campbell was excellent in the third quarter scoring 13 en route to a game-high 21 points. Deesha Brefford scored 19 while Amber Lemons added 11 for Sanderson's crew. Shenea Best also scored nine points for the Wolves. 

JJC maintained a double-digit lead for most of the fourth quarter to pick up its 14th win of the season.
