It's been a good week for Joliet Junior College.
The Wolves won their first game in blowout fashion, came in at No. 2 in the opening NJCAA Division III poll and now blasted Malcolm X College 79-58 for their 10th win of the season on Thursday.
Kianna Campbell added a team-high 24 points and 10 assists in the blowout win.
"She appeared to be a little more focused today," coach
Shaun Sanderson said. "When she's up the floor and sharing and anticipating on defense, it not only gets the team going, but it gets her going as well.
JJC was all over the Hawks going on a 10-0 run to start the contest and never trailed. Its defense didn't allow a basket for the game's first five minutes.
Deesha Brefford followed up her 26-point performance at Moraine Valley by dropping 13 points while Amber Watson reached double-digits scoring 14 points.
The Wolves will play their second consecutive home game against Richard J. Daley College on Tuesday. The game is set to have a 5 p.m. tip.
