The JJC women's basketball team defeated Madison College by a score of 73-70 in their Region IV semi-final game. Kianna Campbell led the way with 17 points followed by Deesha Brefford with 15 points. Nia Harris and Zakah Blake both finished with 10 points. "Our defense was key in moments of the game. We held their leading scorer to only 4 points in the second half," Head Coach Shaun Sanderson said. "Overall it wasn't the pace that we are accustomed to, but each possession was huge. A few of our role players stepped up today and executed in key moments." JJC (20-10 overall) advances to the Region IV Division III Championship against Rock Valley College on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Game time is 1:00 pm
