The JJC baseball team topped Rock Valley College by a score of 5-2 to claim the Region IV Sectional title. Jake Poch went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Wolves. Sophomore pitcher Nick Evola pitched a complete 9-inning game with 10 strikeouts. JJC (26-22-1 overall) will host the Region IV Division III Championship tournament from Friday, May 12, 2017 through Sunday, May 14, 2017. Joliet will take on the College of DuPage on Friday at 12:00 pm, while Waubonsee Community College and Elgin Community College face off at 3:00 pm.
