The Joliet Junior College volleyball team earned a hard-fought victory against N4C conference opponent College of DuPage by a score of 25-23, 12-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-9.
Melissa Ryan paced the offense with 12 kills.
Kendall Iversen produced 18 kills, Ryan with 13, and
Kendall Rivecco with 11 kills. Setter
Isabella Cosentino earned 23 assists.
"We were happy to get a conference win at home and especially over a solid DuPage team," Head Coach
Karen Bunkenburg said. "I give credit to the team for not letting frustration and a bad set take them out of the match. We hung in there and worked hard to get the win. Getting over that mental hurdle was a huge step."
JJC (4-6 overall, 2-3 N4C) travels to Morton College on Saturday, September 16, 2017 for a tri-match. The Lady Wolves take on Morton at 11:00 am and Southeastern Community College (IA) at 1:00 pm.
