The Joliet Junior College women's soccer team was handed their first loss of the season (2-1) against N4C conference opponent Madison College on the road. Miranda Nirchi scored in the 53rd minute on an assist from Hailey Arlis. Goalkeeper Morgan Samp recorded 10 saves in the contest.

"We fought hard and lost 2-1 in a very close match," Head Coach Wesley Dapkus said. "This was a close battle with two very exciting soccer teams. Unfortunately it was not not our night; however there will be much to learn from this game and we will generate new ideas from it to apply when we see them again down the road."

JJC (7-1 overall, 4-1 N4C) travels to Truman College on Monday, September 18, 2017. Game time is 4:30 pm.
