The JJC volleyball team earned a big non-conference win against Moraine Valley Community College by a score of 21-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-18, 15-11.
Melissa Ryan led the charge with 18 kills followed by
Jicara Tate with 7. Setter
Isabella Cosentino had a great all-around game with 32 assists, 16 digs, and 6 aces.
Kendall Iversen had 23 digs,
Hailey Huml with 10, and Ryan with 9.
"We continue to be happy with the team's ability to overcome and stay in matches," Head Coach
Karen Bunkenburg stated. "We'd like to cut down on early mental errors to put ourselves in a better position, but we definitely know how to fight when we're down.
Paige Guerrero came up big tonight on defense and then stepping up and putting a couple big kills down in crucial situations.
Melissa Ryan was a force offensively with 18 kills and a .250 hitting efficiency. Overall a great team win."
JJC (7-7 overall) travels to South Suburban College on Saturday, September 23, 2017. The Lady Wolves take on South Suburban College at 11:00 am and Morton College at 1:00 pm.
