The JJC men's soccer team defeated Illinois Valley Community College by a score of 5-0. Gustavo Ramos Buonopane scored in the 47th minute followed by Rocco Del Real in the 52nd minute on an assist from Kyle Sparks. Adrian Jimenez earned a goal in the 56th minute from another Sparks assist. Kyle Sparks scored in the 65th minute from an assist by Ramos Buonopane. The final goal was scored by Armando Alvarado in the 75th minute from an assist by Daniel Arriola. Goalkeeper Abraham Huichapa earned the shutout with 10 assists.

"We had a slow start in the first half," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "The guys regrouped at the half and we went on to open it up right away."
