Joliet Junior College was outstanding from behind the arc in a 106-80 victory over Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday. 

The Wolves drilled 16 3-pointers to advance to 15-5 on the year and 2-2 in N4C play.

Former Lincoln-Way Central standout Jarret Gmazel scored a team-high 23 points. Fellow guard Nick Welter added 18 and Quincey Butler scored 16 for the Wolves. Chase Travis (15) and Mitchell Kwasigroch (13) each reached double figures. 

"Our transition offense was extremely good to start the game and when you add in the shooting we got again, it led to a great start which Milwaukee was never able to overcome," coach Joe Kuhn said. 

The veteran head coach was proud of his team's defense effort which led to a blowout win. 

The Wolves will play at Wright College on Wednesday. Wright College is 4-0 in the conference and are winners of five consecutive games. JJC is set for a 7 p.m. tip. JJC will return home on Saturday to face Harper College after two consecutive road games.
