Joliet Junior College turned in a total team effort in a 77-62 win at Wright on Wednesday.
The Wolves took an 11-point lead into halftime and held serve in the second half for the victory.
"This was a great road win for us as Wright has been playing very well and was 4-0 in conference play," coach
Joe Kuhn said. "We didn't shoot the ball as well as we have been but our team defense was outstanding. Whenever you can hold a team to 30 percent from the floor, you know the effort to defend was there."
The Lincoln-Way Central tandem of
Mitchell Kwasigroch and
Jarret Gmazel led the way offensively for the Wolves.
Kwasigroch scored a team-high 20 points while Gmazel's 17 points were key. Kwasigroch's 11 rebounds gave him a double-double.
Quincey Butler added 11 points and six assists.
Nick Welter had 10 rebounds and was a force defensively with three blocks.
