Jarret Gmazel drilled a 3-pointer with just over nine minutes remaining giving the Wolves a 14-point lead, their biggest of the contest. JJC's defense did enough down the stretch to maintain the lead and the victory. He finished with six points and six assists.
Butler continued his outstanding season with a team-high 24 points, five assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
"This was a big win for us as we let our first meeting get away from us. It is never easy to win on the road, especially against a very good program and in a playoff type environment," Kuhn said. "Our guys really showed what they are capable of and the character they have. Quincey was definitely the difference maker out there as he played a great all around game. Offensively, we really found our rhythm in the second half. Defensively, we continue to be really good."
