Joliet Junior College lost a heartbreaker 79-77 to North Central Conference opponent Rock Valley on Wednesday.

JJC seemingly had control of the game leading by double digits with six minutes to go, but a late rally doomed the Wolves.

A turnover and basket in the game's final 30 seconds gave the Golden Eagles the win.

Despite the loss, the Wolves had several bright spots.

Sophomore Quincey Butler broke down the Golden Eagle defense getting to the basket at will scoring 24 points.

Chase Travis had a nice game inside finishing with 15 points. Jarret Gmazel also reached double digits with 15 points or JJC.

The Wolves will play their second conference game of the season against Madison College on Saturday.
