JOLIET - Joliet Junior College controlled much of the first half but couldn't hold the lead in a 77-69 loss to Trinity Christian College JV in the season opener at the Event Center on Thursday.
The Wolves led 36-26 at halftime but surrendered 51 points in the second half.
JJC's
Jaylen Jones led the squad with 17 points.
Isaiah Clemons and
Jaylen Jones each scored 14 while
Matteo Lombardi's 11 points rounds out the double-digit scorers. Lombardi led the Wolves with eight rebounds. Clemons led JJC (0-1) with three steals while the defense forced 26 turnovers as a whole.
The Wolves will square off against Richard J. Daley College next Tuesday.
