JOLIET - Joliet Junior College coach
Shaun Sanderson was excited about his new roster.
After Thursday's 74-50 win over Trinity Christian College JV, it was easy to see why.
The Wolves jumped all over the Trolls taking an 18-point lead into halftime. JJC's suffocating defense helped finish the blowout win.
Sophomore
Emily Atsinger was outstanding scoring 30 points. Atsinger shot 61 percent from the field. She also caused trouble defensively picking up four steals. The Wolves finished with 17 as a team and forced 18 turnovers.
Freshman point guard
Amil Mitchell scored 17 points and had four steals. She was efficient shooting 78 percent from the field.
Rebecca Brennan had seven points for the Wolves (1-0).
JJC will play its first road game of the season at Prairie State next Thursday.
