Talia Edwards is a special player.
The sophomore played in the NJCAA All-Star Game in Atlanta last summer and has been steadily improving.
Edwards' improvements were fully on display against Kankakee Community College on Tuesday at the Event Center. Edwards had a double-double with 14 points and 21 rebounds in a 62-52 win over the Cavaliers.
The Bolingbrook graduate also led the team with three blocks and added three steals.
JJC (5-1) started off the game hot scoring the game's first 12 points and led the game from wire-to-wire. The Cavaliers got within five points early in the fourth quarter, but a pair of baskets by
Maiya Creal, who finished with eight points and three steals, put the game away for the Wolves.
Kierra Tyler reached double digits with 12 points and had a team-high four steals and four assists.
The Wolves will host Olive-Harvey at 5 P.M. on Tuesday.
