MUSKEGON, MI - Joliet Junior College split two duals defeating Grand Valley State 33-24 and falling to Niagra 33-18 in its season-opening duals on Friday. 

JJC's Yousif Salah and Jimmie Olds won matches in both duals.

"Obsessively, we can get better and we will get better," coach A.J. Blahut said. "Nobody is 100 percent at the start of the season. We had three of our starters out of the lineup so that wasn't helpful in the dual against Niagara. The guys are learning what college wrestling is all about and seeing that there are tough kids at all divisions."
