JOLIET - Joliet Junior College trailed be seven after one quarter but outscored Morton by 15 in the second quarter and cruised to a 92-81 victory at the Event Center on Saturday. 

The Wolves (7-1) have now won five consecutive games. 

"This was a good win against a good team," coach Shaun Sanderson said. "But, we have to be better defensively. You can't blame bad defense on youth. Some things are heart and desire. We will continue to learn and get better."

The Wolves shot 42 percent in the second quarter and took over the game. A main reason the Wolves took over was Madison Harris, who had her best game of the season scoring a game-high 17 points going 5 for 9 from behind the arc. 

Kierra Tyler had a solid all around game finshing with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Maiya Creal and Talia Edwards led the defensive effort with three steals. Edwards also added a team-high three blocks. Dasia Norris was a terror on the boards racking up 11 rebounds. 

Creal (14), Edwards (13),  and Norris (13) round out the double-digit scorers. 

JJC scored 30 points in the fourth quarter to put the game away. 

The Wolves will look to make it six in a row at home on Tuesday against Moraine Valley Community College.
