JOLIET - The 2019 Joliet Junior College baseball schedule has been released and it will be coach Wayne L. King, Jr.'s 33rd and final season.

To begin the season, the Wolves will board a plane and head to Texas for an eight-game spring trip to Tyler, TX. It was in Tyler where King and the Wolves played in five NJCAA Division III World Series tournaments and won two of their three national championships. The Wolves will open the trip with a three-game series versus Tyler Junior College, who is ranked No. 1 in the Preseason National Poll. These games will be rematches of the 2007 and 2015 national championship games. Also on the trip, JJC will play No. 7 ranked Brookhaven College, Richland Community College and Panola College.

After returning home, it will be business as usual for the Wolves in NJCAA Region IV play. The Wolves will play their first five of seven games at Wayne L. King, Jr Field before heading to Rock Valley College to open up N4C Conference play on March 30th. Along with that trip to Rockford, the conference slate has the Wolves traveling to Harper College, Milwaukee Area Technical College and Triton College while hosting College of DuPage and Madison College.

Saturday, May 4th will be a memorable home game for the Wolves to end the 2019 regular season. The doubleheader against College of Lake County will be King's final regular season home game as head coach of the Wolves. All former alumni will be invited out to that game to celebrate his career.

After the regular season concludes, the Region IV Tournament will be held May 9-12, 2019 at the highest seed's home field. The winner of that tournament will advance to the District B Tournament on May 18th and 19th with the NJCAA Division III World Series taking place May 25-30, 2019 in Greenville (Tenn.).
