Joliet Junior College closed the regular season with a decisive 82-57 victory at College of DuPage on Saturday.

The Wolves didn't have the first half it wanted on offense, but turned up the gas in the second half.

"Our first-half offense was very uncharacteristic of us but we were able to straighten it out for the second half," coach Joe Kuhn said. "Our attack and ball movement was outstanding and, when we play like that, we are a difficult team to beat."

JJC (24-6, 11-3 North Central Community College Conference) were led by Quincey Butler's 19 points.

Jarret Gmazel added 16 points while Mitchell Kwasigroch (15) and Nick Welter (10) each reached double figures in scoring.

The Wolves earned the top seed and a bye in the opening round of the Region IV Tournament and will square off against the winner of Milwaukee Community College and Elgin Community College at Madison College on Saturday afternoon.

The games will be broadcasted on the internet by Madison and the links to the games will become available later in the week.
