SUGAR GROVE, IL - Joliet Junior College scored 30 runs in two wins over Waubonsee on Friday.
The Wolves took Game 1 14-9 and won 16-11 in the night cap. The wins extend JJC's winning streak to six games.
Game 1
The Wolves (12-6) scored five times in the seventh to put away the 14-9 victory.
Sarah Goff continued her torrid season at the plate with three hits including a home run.
Megan Anthony also had three hits and drove in five runs.
Lexi Meurer,
Paige Guerrero, and
Izzy Ortiz each had two hits. Ortiz added a triple.
Laci Meurer picked up wins in relief of starting pitcher
Jasmin Torres.
Game 2
Every starter had at least one hit for JJC in the 16-11 win.
Katie Price led the charge going 4 for 4 a RBI.
Guerrero had three hits while
Izzy Ortiz,
Lexi Meurer,
Sarah Goff,
Nicole Hutson and
MacKenzie Melendez each had two hits for the Wolves.
Goff and Guerrero each drove in four runs.
Rachel Sangston picked up the win throwing five innings of relief. She gave up five earned runs in the victory.
