JOLIET, IL - Joliet Junior College scored 17 runs in two games and cruised to a doubleheader sweep at home against Morton on Wednesday. The Wolves took Game 1 9-0 in five innings and won 8-3 in the second game.

Game 1

Paige Guerrero drilled a fourth inning grand slam and Lexi Meurer followed that with a long home run to center field helping the Wolves to a 9-0 win.

Guerrero, Izzy Ortiz and Paige Potempa each had two hits in the game. Guerrero drove in five runs for the Wolves (14-6).

Laci Meurer (7-1) was outstanding in the circle pitching a complete game allowing one hit while striking out six.

Game 2

JJC put the game away with six runs in the third inning.

Lexi Meurer had three hits in Joliet Junior College's 8-3 victory.

Rachel Goff, and Megan Anthony each had two hits.

Katie Price, Rachel Goff and Dakota Novak each drove in two runs.

Rachel Sangston (6-1) picked up the win allowing only one earned run while striking out six in a complete-game effort.
