JOLIET, IL - Joliet Junior College pitchers
Drew CLAVENNA and
Jake CARLSEN dominated Elgin in a 9-1 victory on Thursday.
Clavenna started and picked up the win. He pitched five strong innings surrendering only one earned run while striking out two. Carlsen, in relief of Clavenna, gave up no earned runs and struck out five in four innings of work.
The Wolves (15-14) scored two runs in the first and never trailed.
Leadoff man
Anthony Agne led the offense with two hits.
Jack CAVANAUGH,
Joe MCGUIRE and
Trey STEWART also had two hits for JJC.
Zack PYCH added a triple.
The win leaves coach Wayne King just 10 wins away from the 1,100 mark for his career.
