JOLIET, IL - Joliet Junior College is hitting its stride at the right time.
The Wolves, now winners of seven in a row, picked up two tough victories against Waubonsee at
Wayne L. King Jr. Field on Sunday. The wins put coach Wayne King just two wins short of 1,100 for his Hall of Fame career.
The Wolves also honored Harry Resis (Class of 1964) and family. Resis and his family threw out the first pitch to JJC second baseman
Anthony Agne.
Joliet Junior College 5, Waubonsee 4
Agne delivered the game-winning hit in at two-run rally in the sixth inning propelling JJC to victory. Agne singled to left plating
Joe MCGUIRE.
Andrew RODRIGUEZ tied the game with a solo homer in the sixth inning. Rodriguez had three hits in the game and drove in three runs.
Noah O'BRIEN was excellent in relief and picked up the win. O'Brien threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings allowing only one hit.
Adam KNERR added two hits for JJC.

Josh TESCH delivered a walkoff single in the ninth inning giving the Wolves their seventh win in a row.

Agne reached on an error allowing the tying run to score in the seventh inning.
Jack CAVANAUGH was outstanding on the mound picking up the win. Cavanaugh threw all nine innings surrendering only two earned runs. He struck out 13 hitters while walking only run.
Marcus STEWART had three hits while Tesch had two.
