PALOS HILLS, IL - Joliet Junior College cruised to an 8-1 win and Game 1 and scored late in Game 2 to capture a 6-5 victory at Moraine Valley on Tuesday.

Rachel Sangston pitched an excellent game and the offense gave her plenty of runs in the victory. 

Sangston gave up only one earned run while striking out four in the win. 

Sarah Goff led the charge offensively with three hits and three RBIs. Dakota Novak and Sydney Miller each had three hits for the No. 9 Wolves (27-17).

The Wolves scored three runs in the fifth to take a commanding five-run lead.

Joliet Junior College 6, Moraine Valley 5

MacKenzie Melendez had the game-winning single plating Jasmin Torres. 

Sangston pitched the seventh to earn a save. 

Goff had another three hits and finished with six on the day. She also drove in a pair of runs and five total over the two games. 

Dakota Novak went 3 for 3 while Melendez had a pair of hits.
