CHICAGO HEIGHTS - Joliet Junior College picked up a hard fought 5-4 win in extra innings over Prairie State in the first game of the doubleheader but fell 12-2 in five innings in the nightcap. 

Joliet Junior College 5, Prairie State 4 (8 inn.)

The Wolves held a 4-1 lead heading to the seventh but Prairie State battled to send the game to extra innings scoring three times. 

Megan Anthony delivered the game-winning single in extra innings after Jasmin Torres stole third base. 

 Torres had a tremendous day with three hits and two RBIs. Anthony, Sydney Miller and Rachel Goff each had two hits for the Wolves (20-12). 

Rachel Sangston (8-3) was solid in the circle surrendering only three earned runs. 

Prairie State 12, Joliet Junior College 2 (5 inn.)

JJC scored one in the first but were quickly bombarded by the Prairie State offense which scored four times in the bottom of the first and never looked back. 

Miller had another two hits in the game and drove in a run. 

Lexi Meurer also had a hit and a RBI for the Wolves.
