MORTON, IL - Joliet Junior College closed the regular season on a high note.
The Wolves hit four home runs en route to an 11-0 win in seven innings over Morton on Tuesday.
Andrew RODRIGUEZ continued his solid season with a pair of homers.
Zack PYCH and
Josh TESCH also homered in the game.
Nick LOFURNO and
Anthony Agne each had a pair of hits for the Wolves.
Pych and Rodriguez each drove in three runs.
JJC's pitching equaled its hitting combining for a four hit shutout. Brad Van Asdlen threw three scoreless innings and picked up the win.
Nick CLEMMONS threw two scoreless innings and
Kyle NORSTROM and
Austin REED each threw one scoreless inning.
The Wolves will play next in the sectional round of the Region IV Tournament. They will host Waubonsee in a best two out of three series which will begin at noon at
Wayne L. King Jr. Field on Saturday.
