JOLIET - Joliet Junior College defended its home court well at their Quad Tournament on Saturday.
The Wolves defeated Elgin Community College 3-1 (x-x) and College of Lake County (25-18, 25-11, 25-15) to win the tournament.
JJC 3, Elgin 1 (25-11, 20-25, 25-17, 25-18)
Cuay Whitener led the Wolves with 14 kills while
Shea Kieldyk dominated the middle with 10. Kieldyk also added three blocks.
Whitener completed her double-double with 12 digs.
Isabella Cosentino also added a double-double i the match with 35 assists and 13 digs.
Emma Sweeney led the Wolves with 36 digs.
JJC 3, College of Lake County 0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-15)
JJC dominated College of Lake Country from start to finish with an easy three set victory.
Kieldyk was excellent again leading the team with nine kills and two blocks. She also hit a robust .444 for the match.
Cosentino also had two blocks and a team-high 23 assists.
Sweeney added 21 digs and
Anna Breausche finished with seven kills.
Whitener also added 18 digs.
The Wolves will play at home at 6 P.M. Tuesday against Harper College.
