The JJC women's soccer team won 2-1 at Illinois Valley Community College in their Region IV quarterfinal game on Oct. 23. 

The Wolves were down 0-1 at the half, but goals by freshman midfielder Andrea Villa in the 50th minute and sophomore forward Taylor Metcalf in the 72nd minute clinched the win for Joliet. Freshman goalkeeper Salma Ramos had 4 saves in the victory. 

The 8-6 Wolves will travel to Rock Valley College for the semifinal this Saturday, Oct. 26, at noon. The 11-2 Golden Eagles are ranked 10th in the NJCAA Div. III women's soccer poll for the week of Oct. 21. The teams split the season with the Wolves winning 2-1 at home on Sept. 4 and Rock Valley winning 1-0 at home on Oct. 17.
