GLEN ELLYN, IL - The Joliet Junior College softball team opened up the Region IV Division III softball tournament with a 10-2 win over Elgin Community College.

This win gives Head Coach Kerri O'Shea her 100th career coaching victory at Joliet Junior College. O'Shea is in her fourth season overseeing the Wolves softball program. Her 2018 team finished as Region IV Division III championship runners-up with a 33-20 overall record, tying the all-time program wins record from the 1999 team. This season, the 2019 squad broke the all-time wins record on April 29 in a 2-1 victory against Triton College.

Megan Anthony paced the offense with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Ashley Phelps (RBI) and Dakota Novak both doubled in the contest.

Rachel Sangston earned the win for the Wolves. She lasted five innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out three.
