The Joliet Junior College women's basketball team made a run in the fourth quarter but it was not enough as the #3 seed Wolves fell to #2 seed Madison College 73-79 in the NJCAA Region IV DIII Tournament semifinal at College of DuPage on Feb. 22.
"All year, we've been adjusting, just trying to find our way and find out who we are, and the last couple weeks I though we figured things out with what we had," said Head Coach
Shaun Sanderson. "Like Uno cards, you play with the hand you're dealt and they gave it their all. They fought hard and they have nothing to hang their heads about."Â
Sophomore forward
Dasia Norris led the Wolves' offense with 21 points and nine rebounds, making the All-Tournament Team. Sophomore forward
Kike Ojo added 17 points and 10 boards. Freshman guard
Elisha Dunlap chipped in 16 points, five assists and three steals, and sophomore forward
Lynese Johnson contributed 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.Â
The Wolves finished the 2019-20 season 14-18.
