The JJC baseball team split a double-header against Moraine Valley Community College on March 1 to go 2-1 on the young 2020 season.
In game one, the Wolves jumped out to an early lead, scoring one run in the first inning and four in the second. The Cyclones chipped away at the lead, but the Wolves hung on to win 6-5.
Cody Phillips was 2-4 with a three-run double.
Ethan Petric threw four innings in relief to pick up the save, striking out six and giving up one earned run.
In game two, the Cyclones grabbed an early 5-run lead and the Wolves could not recover, losing 2-7.
Gavin Grace was 2-3 with two singles.
