Wolves Lose on Walk-Off Single

It came down to the last play of the game, but the Wolves fell 9-8 to Vincennes University in the second game of a double-header. With the score tied at 8, the Trailblazers' winning run came in on a single in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The game was started on Feb. 26, but suspended due to weather in the third inning with the Wolves trailing 7-3. JJC continued to rally when the game resumed the next day, scoring a total of five runs in the third, but the Wolves would never take the lead.

Sam Andrade was 2 for 4, scoring two runs. McKinley Keenan went yard in his first collegiate at-bat, about 900 days after stepping away from the game.

Trevor Smith struggled in his first start of the season, surrendering seven runs on six hits over one inning of work, striking out two. Logan Durling, Zach Zborowski and Adam Herron all contributed in relief. Durling struck out eight in his collegiate debut, pitching four innings with no decision. Herron took the loss.
