The Wolves got their first win of the 2021 season in walk-off fashion, topping Sauk Valley 6-5 in the first game of a home double-header on March 6.
With the game tied at five in the bottom of the seventh inning,
Noah Mazza singled on the first pitch he saw, scoring the winning run. Mazza was 4 for 5 with three RBI's and a stolen base.
Right-handed starter
Nick Cerrato lasted five innings, allowing four runs on two hits, striking out five and walking four.
Cannon Karczewski was credited with the win, giving up one run on three hits over two innings of relief.
