The JJC women's basketball hosted Bryant & Stratton Tuesday night, as the Bobcats are the NJCAA Division II 15
th ranked team in the latest national rankings.
JJC led at the end of the first quarter 13-12, but the Bobcats exploded to outscore JJC 29-16 in the second quarter and the Wolves never recovered, dropping an 80-59 decision.
The first half saw the Wolves go up as many as seven in the initial quarter, but Bryant & Stratton cut that lead to one and kept that momentum going in the second quarter. That first quarter saw the Wolves play one of their best quarters of the season as everything they did worked.
The Bobcats kept the lead in double digits until JJC did fight back and cut the lead to nine early in the fourth quarter, but couldn't get any closer.
Josey Ocampo once again led the Wolves with 19 points, as
Grace Harris scored 13 and
Faith Domercant had 12 points.
Thursday evening will be a big night at the Event Center as a triple-header will take place as Joliet West and Central will play a sophomore game at 4:30 pm, followed by the varsity, then JJC will take on Trinity Christian College.
