Four members of the Joliet Junior College softball team have earned postseason recognition for their play during the 2022 season.
Lindsey Bouska,
Zoe Ditter,
Gianna Pullara and
Bailey Weck have been named to the All-Region 4 team, with Bouska and Pullara being voted to the first team and Ditter and Weck being selected to the second team.
In addition, Pullara was named to the All-N4C first team and Bouska was named to the second team. Bouska, Ditter and Weck were also named to the NJCAA DIII Region 4 All-Tournament Team.
Pullara, a freshman catcher from Minooka, hit .398 in 46 games for the Wolves this season with three home runs, 23 RBIs and 40 runs scored. Her 26 walks tie her for third on the NJCAA DIII leaderboard, and defensively, her five runners caught stealing tie her for sixth in the category.
Bouska, a second-year pitcher from Plainfield, was again a workhorse on the mound. Her 154 innings pitched rank her second among the nation's DIII pitchers, and her 33 appearances and 22 starts rank her third and fourth respectively. The returning second team All-American is also sixth in complete games with 17, and 14
th in shutouts with three. She finished the 2022 season 13-12 with three saves and a 3.86 ERA.
Weck, a second-year infielder from Plainfield, hit .368 in 47 games for the Wolves with six home runs, 46 RBIs and 42 runs scored. Her 16 doubles rank her tenth on the NJCAA DIII leaderboard.
Ditter, a second-year outfielder from Lockport, hit .385 in 44 games for the Wolves including six triples, ranking her fourth in the category. Her 18 stolen bases are 22
nd in the country.
After a slow 3-12 start to the season, the Wolves won 11 of their final 14 regular season games to earn the #2 seed in the NJCAA DIII Region 4 Tournament. The Wolves advanced all the way to the championship game but fell to #1 seed Rock Valley College, ending their season 24-27.
