The Wolves men's soccer team lost a tough one at home to Kishwaukee CC 3-2 in overtime Friday afternoon. Their record now stands at 1-4 on the young season.
Â
Kishwaukee put the first score on the board in the first five minutes of the game, but the Wolves responded with two goals to take a 2-1 lead.
Â
Josh Cruz scored the first JJC goal and was assisted by goalie Mattias Gallego on a long punt that Cruz put in the net. Then
Michal Czaplinski put the Wolves on top with a goal from 25 yards out to go up 2-1.
Â
The Wolves held that lead until the 70th minute when Kishwaukee tied the game at 2-2, then won it in overtime.
Â
"We had several very good opportunities to score, but we just couldn't finish," Wolves coach
Cris Trillo said. "Our goal keeper Mattias Gallego really kept us in the game as he made 10 saves and had that assist on Cruz's goal."
