Romello Ali led all scorers Wednesday night with 29 points, but it wasn't enough for the Wolves to overcome Elgin Community College, losing 91-77.
Ali was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line while also recording four rebounds, two steals and an assist.
The trouble started early for the Wolves (1-5) when just three minutes into the game, center
Devon Richardson suffered a hyperextended knee. Later in the game,
Mickael Allen also left with an injury, suffering a concussion with six minutes to go.
Before exiting the game, Allen scored 10 points and pulled in 16 rebounds, including 11 on the defensive end.
Alex Vassilakis finished with 21 points and six rebounds.
The Wolves return to action Monday night when they host Illinois Valley Community College at 7 p.m.
