The misfortune continues for the Wolves as the Joliet women's basketball team falls to Elmhurst (JV), 93-68. The loss is the fourth straight for the Wolves (3-4).
"Tonight, we were just out of sync," head coach
Shaun Sanderson said. "I think coming off this holiday break, we just look like our timing — our everything — is off."
Sophomore guard
Maggie Grady helped to lead the Wolves, scoring 17 points to go along with three rebounds, a pair of assists and a steal.
"Today, we started off rough which carried through the rest of the game," Grady said. "We have a lot to work on as a team, but it's only the beginning."
Grace Harris also scored 17 points for the Wolves while recording five rebounds and just as many assists along with a steal.
"Too many turnovers led us to this loss," said Harris. "I'm ready to focus on our other two games this week."
Angie Knowles and
Faith Domercant each scored 10 points, while Domercant pulled in nine rebounds.
"Eventually we'll break this streak of losing," said Sanderson, "and get back on the saddle and start winning some games."
The Wolves return to action Tuesday night when they host Governors State University's JV squad at 5 p.m.
