The road remains unkind to the Wolves as the Joliet women's basketball team lost a close game Thursday to Moraine Valley, 67-64.
The Wolves (4-5) finished the game with just three players on the floor as five fouled out, sending Moraine Valley to the free throw line 45 times. Joliet only earned 14 trips to the line.
"We played well for two and a half quarters and then stopped playing like a disciplined team," head coach
Shaun Sanderson said. "Tonight will make us better."
Maggie Grady led the Wolves, going 7 for 15 from the field for 21 points.
"It was a tough loss, only ending the game with three players," Grady said. "However in the beginning, we were working together as one. My shots were finally falling on both ends of the court and everyone was contributing, big or small."
She was joined by
Grace Harris, who also scored 21 points.
"After our post game talk, I think our team learned a valuable lesson tonight," Sanderson said. "This game had so many life lessons in it, I can't wait to see this team moving forward."
The Wolves will return on Tuesday, Dec. 5 to the JJC Event Center when they host Trinity Christian College in a 5 p.m. tip.Â
