Joliet Junior College continues to roll as the Wolves earned another home victory Tuesday night, this time over
Kishwaukee College, 100-69.
Grace Harris tallied her first career triple-double in leading the Wolves (2-0). She finished with 24 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds while also recording five steals and three blocks.
"I think it was a great win," she said after the game. "I think our team is learning to play together really well. Our chemistry is growing."
The Wolves started hot and didn't let up, with Harris saying that the team wants "to get it going however we can."
"It starts with passing and getting a good flow with each other," Harris added.
"The girls came out with a lot of energy last night," Wolves head coach
Shaun Sanderson said. "They started to warm up and it carried throughout the game. It was a balanced attack."
After a sluggish start in the season opener where she scored just two points,
Maggie Grady flipped the script against Kishwaukee, scoring 23 points and shooting over 50 percent.
"Definitely my mental state. I had a lot of confidence going into this game," she said when asked about what changed. "I didn't put my head down whenever I missed a shot."
Grady finished with three assists and steals, and a pair of rebounds.
Other leading scorers for the Wolves were
Kiyah Robertson (17 points),
Faith Domercant (12) and
Breanna Fogle (11).
The Wolves return to the court Saturday, where they will host Southeastern Community College at 1 p.m.
