The JJC women's basketball team received a 29 point scoring performance from
Grace Harris to beat Harper College 91-64 on Alumni Night at the Event Center Thursday evening.
For the Wolves, it was their 10
th victory of the season and concludes N4C play at 5-3.
After a slow start that saw Harper take an early lead, the Wolves tied the game 20-20 at the end of the first quarter. Then JJC blew the game open in the second quarter, by outscoring the Hawks 26-9 and a 46-29 halftime lead.
The Hawks would get no closer as the Wolves shot 45% from the field, that included a 9-of-20 shooting performance from the 3-pt line.
Josey Ocampo added 16 points and
Faith Domercant scored 12 and grabbed 14 rebounds.
The Wolves will play their final home game on Saturday, February 18
th - 1:00PM as they will honor the sophomores on the team as they host Illinois Valley College.
The Wolves men's basketball team jumped out to a 50-25 halftime lead and never looked back in a 97-56 victory over Harper College on Thursday evening at the Event Center.
With the win, the Wolves conclude their regular season home schedule in gaining their fifth home win of the season against seven losses in Danny Turner's first season as head coach. The Wolves are now 8-17 overall and finish the N4C schedule 3-5.
Six Wolves scored in double figures as
Deavion Scales and
Alex Vassilakis scored 18 each, with
Terrell Taylor hitting 16 points,
Robert Brazelton scoring 14 along with
Hugh Mitchell and Amaris Hughes with 12 points each.
Alex Vassilakis also had 14 rebounds to lead the Wolves.
