The Wolves softball team open the 2023 season with a 11-8 victory over Moraine Valley on Tuesday afternoon at home. The scheduled second game was suspended in the bottom of the first due to darkness.
 
The NJCAA preseason 10th ranked Wolves were led by Jada Aguirre who went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Teagan Henning had three RBI with Kailyn Jasper collecting two hits and two RBI, Emily Jahnske recorded a double with two RBI and scored twice.
 
Natalie Tatera pitched five innings to record the win from the circle as she struck out eight. Ella White threw two hitless innings in recording the save.
 
Next up is a home game versus Elmhurst JV at 2:00 pm on Friday, before the Wolves will travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their spring break trip.
