Joliet Junior College volleyball fought until the end in every set but couldn't quite punch through as the Wolves fell to Harper College, 3-0, on Thursday.
The Wolves (8-20) got out to early leads, fell behind and clawed back as they lost 23-25, 23-25 and 21-25.
Haylee Dunne led the Wolves with 16 assists and
Aubrey Phillips finished with 10 kills.
"It was a good loss if there is such a thing," coach Tom Welsh said. "We played really, really well. Mistakes at bad times really cost us. We beat them in four at their place so they had a little bit more motivation maybe when they came here. I can't be mad at our effort or our execution because it was one of the better games we've played in a couple weeks."
The Wolves return to the court Monday when they travel to Triton College.
