VINCENNES, Ind. – After falling to Olney Central College in the season opener, the Wolves baseball team had another shot at the Blue Knights on Sunday.
Despite going down 4-0 in the first inning, Joliet Junior College fought back to eventually win, 15-8. The Wolves scored eight runs in the fourth to take the lead.
Mitch Thomas had a pair of hits and two RBI's.
Dylan Scafuri went 2 of 3 and recorded a double.
Matt Klaess also went 2 of 3 with a double and a pair of RBI's.
Six pitchers threw for the Wolves, with
Connor Bird picking up his first win in relief.
The Wolves finish opening weekend with a 2-2 record. On Saturday, the Wolves split the day with a 7-5 win over Morton College and a 12-2 loss to Vincennes University.
JJC is back in action Tuesday when the Wolves travel to Triton College. First pitch is at 2:30 p.m.
