Joliet fell behind early Thursday and couldn't battle back as the Wolves lost a tough one on the road to Rock Valley, 91-51.

The Wolves (13-13) couldn't get much going offensively, shooting just 28.8 percent from the field, sinking 19 of 66 attempts. On 16 tries, the Wolves connected on just one three-point shot. Joliet did sink 12 of their 17 tries from the foul line.

"I thought tonight was a little too big for some of us," said Wolves coach Shaun Sanderson. "Our confidence didn't come in that locker room with us. We settled down a bit but playing from behind on the road is tough."

Ashanti Brown played all 40 minutes for Joliet and led her side with 15 points, six rebounds, six assists and a steal.

Kiyah Robertson scored 14 points and added six rebounds. The Wolves' bench added just seven points in a game which Joliet never led.

"I think this was just one of those games where we didn't play like a team and how we usually do," Robertson said. "Early on in the game we held our ground and fought back but later we started to let them get a run for it. Definitely a learning lesson and hopefully we go into the next three games better."

The Wolves return to action Tuesday when they host Kankakee Community College at 5 p.m.
