Joliet Junior College scored in each of the first four innings Tuesday, including five in the fourth, as the Wolves soared to victory over Harper College, 11-5.
The only inning the Wolves (5-2) failed to score a run was the fifth, which was also when the Hawks scored their first. The game was called after the eighth inning due to darkness.
Mitch Thomas had himself a day for JJC, earning his first homerun of the season to go along with an RBI double.
Hobbs Dunne also earned a double, finishing 2 of 3 on the day.
Cooper Hertz recorded a pair of singles.
Brandon Cusack got the start for the Wolves, throwing three scoreless innings in which he didn't allow a hit and struck out four. Ben Hokanson picked up the win (1-0) throwing two innings and striking out one.
The Wolves will depart on their annual spring trip this weekend, beginning with a game against Panola College on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Carthage, Texas. JJC won't return to Wayne L. King Field until a March 24 doubleheader against McHenry County College.
