Matt Klaess went 4 for 4 at the plate Tuesday as he helped lead the Joliet Junior College baseball team past College of DuPage in a rout, 14-4.

The Wolves (11-20) trailed early but took the lead in the fourth, going up 4-2 after a sacrifice fly from Jaden Jackson, a single from Ryan Holloway and double from Hertz. Holloway and Hertz eventually scored.

DuPage managed to even things up in the top of the fifth but the Wolves answered, scoring five runs in the bottom of the inning and in the sixth to make it 14-4.

Klaess finished the game with three RBI's and three runs. Hertz went 2 for 5 with an RBI and Holloway finished 2 for 5 with an RBI as well. Jackson finished 2 for 3 with a pair of runs, four RBI's and a triple.

The Wolves offense put up 16 hits.

Matt Donovan earned the win on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings in which he struck out four and walked one. Matt Kelliher started the game for the Wolves, pitching the first 4.2 innings in which he allowed seven hits, four runs and struck out two.

The Wolves are back in action Thursday against Heartland Community College at home in a doubleheader.
