The Wolves earned their first sweep of the season Saturday when the Joliet Junior College softball team beat Morton College in doubeheader action.
Jenna Judge hit a grand slam in Game One as the Wolves (5-10) went on to win, 13-11. Judge went 4 for 5 at the plate with six RBI's and three runs scored.
Isabella Hanson went 3 for 4 with three runs scored.
Cynthia Calderon (2-3) pitched 6.1 innings in which she allowed 12 hits and six runs while striking out two.
Hailey Hoffmann earned the save after pitching less than an inning and allowing a single hit.
The offensive power was further showcased in Game Two as the Wolves rallied late, winning 11-8.
Brooke Kelley hit two home runs, including the game-tying slam with two outs and two strikes in the top of the seventh. She finished 2 for 4 with four RBI's. Hoffmann followed with the game-winning, three-run homer to lift the Wolves to victory. Hoffmann finished 2 for 2 with three RBI's and two runs.
Judge (3-1) earned the win on the mound, pitching just two innings in which she recorded five strikeouts and allowed two runs on three hits. She also went 3 for 4 at the plate with two runs and an RBI.
Emma Herder finished 3 for 4 with a home run and one RBI.Â
The Wolves continue the gauntlet as JJC is scheduled to face College of DuPage on Sunday at noon.
